The D’Alembert Strategy

A modification of the Color Strategy using a smaller stake.  As with the color strategy pick a either Red or Black and make a $1 bet. On a winning spin, bet $1 again.  On a losing spin increase your bet by $1 and by $1 on further spins until a win.

Jean-Baptiste le Rond d'Alembert (French: 6 November 1717 – 29 October 1783)

Jean le Rond d'Alembert

Here’s an example of the betting progression:

SPIN 1 – Start with $1 on Black. The ball lands on Red, you lose and you raise your bet.

SPIN 2 – Bet $2 on Black. The ball lands on Red again, you lose and you raise your bet

SPIN 3 – Bet $3 on Black. The ball lands on Black, you win and you lower your bet.

SPIN 4 – Bet $2 on Black. The ball lands on Black, you win and you lower your bet.

SPIN 5 – Bet $1 on Black. The ball lands on Red, you lose and you raise your bet.

SPIN 6 – Bet $2 on Black. The ball lands on Black and you win.

After this sequence you will have won $6 overall.

You can, of course play with higher amounts to increase profits, but remember you must increase/decrease in the same increments you started with, increase $5 loss/decrease $5 win, etc.
